Dr. Audrey Gyanuah Forson is a distinguished Consultant Pulmonologist and Senior Lecturer with over three decades of experience in respiratory medicine. Her extensive clinical expertise, combined with a deep commitment to advancing respiratory care, positions her as a leading voice in the field of pulmonology. Dr. Forson is highly regarded for her work in diagnosing and managing complex respiratory conditions, particularly tuberculosis (TB), asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Forson has specialized knowledge in drug-resistant TB and emerging respiratory infections, focusing on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. Her clinical work at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where she served as Head of the Respiratory Unit and Chest Department, has been instrumental in enhancing respiratory care in Ghana. She is recognized for her ability to manage challenging cases and implement innovative treatment strategies.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Forson is a dedicated educator and mentor. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry and a part-time lecturer at the University of Cape Coast School of Medical Sciences, she plays a pivotal role in training the next generation of medical professionals. Her supervision of MPhil and Fellowship dissertations has contributed significantly to research in respiratory medicine.

A respected leader in the medical community, Dr. Forson has held key positions such as Vice-President of the Division of Physicians at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and Faculty Chairperson for Internal Medicine.
